I do the same thing. I was in Walmart, and they had titanium blades for the 45 very reasonable.. The problem is I am spoiled, and like to use the 60..

Darn, I didn't think of that and just threw 2 away. I do have a cardboard cutting project they would have been awesome for. Maybe the trash in the sewing room still has them.....

i have spent my life using items to the last possible usage. so i tend to do the same with my rotary blade. while traveling, i had to buy a new cutter as i'd forgotten mine. what a pleasure it was to use a new blade! Change Your Blade!

CHANGE YOUR BLADE!!! then cut off some selvedge, write today's date on it with a marker and tie it to the handle of your blade. If you sew a lot and cut a lot, a new blade every two months is not too much to ask! Maybe even sooner, depending on how much you cut.

So change your blade already! You know you should and cutting will be so much easier.

Being cheap is depressing. You'll feel happy using a new blade. It's the little things that make the difference from a good day to a great day.

If it has a nick or two, it goes to the paper cutting box. 15 seconds to change a blade and clean the lint from the cutter. How long has that blade been used on how many quilt creations?! yep time to change the blade.

Change your Blade. (You asked me to say that) I buy the 5-pack blades when my local fabric store has them on sale for 40% or 50% off or when I have a coupon. That makes the blades less expensive to use. Also, we pay thousands of dollars on a machine, so what is a few dollars for a new blade? Quilting is supposed to be fun and a dull blade takes the fun out of it. Keep it sharp...keep it fun!
