Default knowledge helps

Spent about a hour last night on Threads concerning breaking threads. Found some who had similar machine and similar problems. Wrote down various tips. Today I was going to drag machine back to town. Made practice sandwiches, started with tension 3, marked where thread broke. Moved up the tension, changed threads, repeated again. Third time different thread and was up to 4.5 tension. Viola!! The sweet spot..so far so good.. board members rock.....still have some hair left on my head......

It also helps to have your DSM service if required like getting a tuneup with a car. Congratulation on finding your sweet spot on your DSM.

I have a binder with nothing but machine related troubleshooting tips for my machines. I keep my manuals in this binder. Those plastic cover sheets are good or you can use Ziploc bags, punch couple holes in the bottom of the bags and slip the manuals in. I have needle charts and other tips all in the binder also.

I agree, QB members do rock. I don't have a lot of experience with quilting. I do wearable art. I've learned so much from members here and used the search and archives for solving problems. The internet is awesome for finding solutions.
