Well I spent the last two days developing my FMQ skills on a couple small projects that are just for me. One is a small wall hanging and I have it finished. The other is a lap quilt and I have it half done. It turned out to be quite a challenge because it is made out of plush fabric, and it is actually very difficult to move the fabric around. However, I am half way there. I want to thank everyone one on this board for all the wonderful tips and advice. I couldn't have done it without you. When I get this one done. I think I will have the courage to do an "important" quilt.
:-D

Congrats! I always find that first step to be the toughest.

I was too, but I was also sick of doing SID, and really wanting to venture out. All I have managed is meandering and that is all I will do for awhile. Once I get this perfected then I hope to learn more skills. This really is a lot of fun. You just have to take the "plunge", that is what I did.

Oh yeah, you're hooked. Save yourself some time and set your computer to open to this board! You'll be here all the time, unless you're quilting. lol

Congratulations on your new found skill!! It took me a while to dare and try FMQ, but once I took the plunge, I was hooked! Now, I really look forward to the quilting part (used to be my least favorite part) and what I can do with FMQ. Keep on going!!
