Good to read what everyone is up to. For me it was cleaning and getting ready for family dinner. Good thing about hosting Thanksgiving is the leftovers that take hubby and I thru the weekend. Today is making turkey salad and a big kettle of turkey soup. Then yesterday (Friday) I put fall away and got a good start on Christmas decorating. Today I will finish that. Our weather is very wintery so it is easy to just stay put. No sewing getting done but am enjoying following everyone's posts. Sounds like a lot of stitches being done.

I hope to get a bit of sewing in this weekend. I have only the binding on this baby quilt to finish. I must finish putting up the Christmas tree first. Then it will be a sewing marathon until Christmas eve.

I managed to get my guild challenge to the ready-to-quilt stage. And cut all the strips for BH Frolic before my son called to request my childcare services. He was on call and got called out. So today I get to sew!

I have been following everyone’s posts to VQW...and now popping back and forth between the BH mystery quilt thread. Although I’m not ready to leave California, I am missing my sewing room.

Kristijoy, your scrappy quilt is great. I’ve done a similar pattern from a book valley Leave No Scrap Behind by Amanda Jean Nyberg. It makes for a fun project.

madquilter65, I am happy that you are in a healthier environment and wish you much happiness.

raggiesmom, you are a wonderful wife to spend Thanksgiving day hanging out with your DH.

petthefabric, California definitely received some needed rain but the snow made thanksgiving travel a bit crazy...especially the jack knifed big rig transporting cattle that shut down Hwy 50 for hours Wednesday night.

I've cut and sewn together my Bonnie Hunter strips and am working on putting the subunits together today. Hubby is settling down to watch the Michigan/Ohio State game, otherwise known as the game -- go Michigan, not "the" Ohio State. Actually, I don't care. My boyfriend from college was from North Canton and Buckeye all the way.

We are talking about maybe going to a movie this afternoon, tomorrow is our normal bowling date. He so rarely takes multiple days off in a row, we are making the best of it even if it cuts into sewing time.

Madquilter, glad to have you here on many levels of meaning

Here are two of the three christmas quilts that I finally finished! I made the tops around this time last year.

I'll need to get back to packing soon.

Thanks all - it's called Box of Strings, designed by one or our own QB members. I'm sorry, I don't remember who. I'm sure if you do a search, you'll find it.

Good night all.
Actually I kind-of cheated. For some reason my phone can get to this website, but it doesn't show the 'picture' icon I see on the computer.

But...I can get the pictures from the phone into the cloud. Then I came over to my computer and posted the picture online from the cloud. Kind-of a pain.

Sorry...that probably wasn't much help.

Kelsie, it took me several months of trying off and on until I fit on the correct combination of things using my more obscure browser, lack of things like Java, and virus protections but none of that should be your problem.

Most modern smart phones are going to have some sort of "share" feature for your pictures, usually if you send a picture to your email, you can upload that. The FAQs for pictures are stickied here and are very good -- but the problem for me was what they showed in the step-by-step pictures is not what I saw.

For me the problem was that my old school digital camera file sizes are just too big to post here. I started using this simple and easy site here to reduce the file size.
