It's a beautiful quilt.

Not every quilt needs to be bright, colourful and dramatic. Nor do these types of quilts suit every person and/or every home.

This one is more soft, subtle and subdued. You've done a great job of the points and matches.

And have done yourself proud!

I think the neighbors will be very impressed and probably envious, too. Her quilt will be shown to everyone and they'll agree the American quilt is beautiful because it is.

I am looking for a mistake, but don't see one.

It's beautiful. Maybe she won't air it from her balcony anyway. My mom never did--maybe it's because we lived in a one-story house! :)

Anyway...I like it and I'm not sure why your heart sank. I'm only on page one of the thread, so I'll continue reading to see if you explained why. From my computer chair, it is beautiful--and that is farther than the neighbor's house--guaranteed!

You're right, it needs a little something. Like my bed under it. Seriously though, it's beautiful, I can't see a thing wrong with it so I don't know why you'd be upset about it, I'd be proud as punch if I managed to create a quilt like that.

I think it's beautiful. I'd be proud to hang that on my clothesline. If I had one. Heck, I'd put one up for that.

I love it. Sometimes you get just burned out of the fabric of the the quilt. It is time for it to go to its new home and be appreciated. It is VERY PRETTY.

Have you stared holes in it from looking at it too long? The person who gets this quilt is gonna love it and cherish it forever! After you give it to her, please come back on thes board and give us her side of the story!!! (Maybe a picture of her snuggled up with it and a big smile on her face!)
Hey, Olebat, you did good!

I too have a quilt that doesnt really look like much when you look at the whole thing form a distance, but looking out over it when it is pulled up around me is quite another thing, and I bet yours is too!
