I go through color stages, I have been through a green phase where I loved everything green, I have loved yellow for a time, I am now shifting to gray and lime green, two colors that I have despised in the past. My theory is that we love (or hate) different colors at different times in our lives.

I don't use (or particularly like) white, maybe the starkness, purity. Don't wear much white, few tops thats all, yet I like white kitchens. Haven't yet and wouldn't use in quilts. prefer off white, cream or beige. My sister (also a quilter) and I both love purple in any shade, and I go for autumnal, she likes blues. Funny how mostly for no particular reason we make our choices.

I lived in Conifer Colorado and Oregon also but I like it here too, The road trip from Casper to here is awful, isn't it. Long and boring and you better not need a way side station "=:)a
Would love to find a quilter closer to Gillette. I understand Salt Lake is preparing for a huge quilt show next year. Do you know anything about that?

I like them all. I have gone through colors stages but am currently loving all of them. If you don't like a color in your quilt, add more of it. It works. HIH

so those of you that absolutely hate a color-if a loved one asked for a quilt with those colors in it, would you still make the quilt? talk them out of the "yucky" colors? or just grit your teeth and jump in?
