JoAnn's called today about the Special Order I had put in for some fabric to use as backing on a quilt. I was soooo excited, UNTIL the gal said "I am calling to tell you we can't get that fabric". Oh, I was sooo bummed! I really needed THAT particular fabric - the colors matched the front of the quilt so well.
Anyway, I went in, cancelled the order, got my money back and wandered around the store convinced I would not find anything else to use.
After looking thru all the quilting fabric, I wandered over to the Keepsake Calico (am very careful about buying this because sometimes, it's very thin)... but LO and Behold! I found something that will work perfectly! In fact, I actually like it better than the fabric I had ordered...
So glad it all worked out and they had enough on the bolt. AND I even spent less money on this new fabric. I have already washed and dried it and it feels great so now I can proceed with my quilt.
Happy Day!

I'm so glad, sounds like it was a good thing they couldn't get the original fabrics.
