Cool Fat Quarters

I have a "kaleidoscope design" in my mind for a new quilt top, and I think I can make these kaleidoscope-patterned blocks using fat quarters. However, I need multiple FQ's of the same design for each block. So, my question to you is where do you go to buy the BEST fat quarters - in multiples, if possible? I've read on-line that Jo-Ann's FQ's are "too thin", although I usually buy my quilting fabrics at Jo-Ann Fabrics. Does anyone know of any on-line sites for FQ's? Many thanks.

I do not think fat quarters will work for this as the repeat will be all different

If you need multiples, you might be better off buying yardage.

You have to use yardage with certain amount of inches between repeats.
