I love it ... and I have done the same thing!!! I thought it was just because I am getting older ... maybe it's a quilter's disease.

I was making a king sz log cabin..Needed 8 across 10 down. When all blocks were set to be sewed...I am missing 10. I mean 10. I searched and searched. So the quilt was made smaller than I planned. I looked for days after the quilt was finished and gone. no blocks.
two weeks later our DD was here for the weekend, looked for clothes in her dresser...they're the were.. She had picked them up with clean folded laundry and just put them in the drawer and shut it.
One time I was missing 1 and found it. I had sewn 2 of them as 1.lol See we all do that, but not many confess. lol

I did that only with whole quilt. I am making 5 for kids for christmas 2011. One day was talking to DD and told her I had 4 tops done,she said are you sure? I said yes let me go count so went and counted sure enough only had 3 My thoughts was darn thought there was 4.:-( Next day went in room where the quilter is and there by golly is #4 pined on the quilter. :D

I have done the same thing a couple of times. You would think I would have learned where to look first the first time I did it!
