Bev - How I understand it is this...these people are not interested in quilting - they want to just infiltrate the board 'pretending' they are interested...then they get offensive to try and upset people basically this is what they get off on....there are also other meanings for certain phrases which we will take in niaively at face value, but believe me you DON'T want to know what 'they' are referring to it's quite sickening. If you are still unsure as to what I might be referring PM me and I will send you more detail!!

Your fine hun. I'm just used to a different kind of troll. For yrs I was in and out of Crochet & Cross Stitch Groups. There would always be a troll warning cuz they would snoop and try to close us down. Many of my groups I was in landed up going private. You had to be invited.

I hate trolls as much as anyone and I am glad to see that you ladies are about to take an ounce of poo-poo from any of them.
However, I also believe that some of you might be a wee bit paranoid and deleting posts with reckless fervor, as was the case is several of my postings, does not make for a very friendly atmosphere.
Sometimes, you just have to relax and let a thing or two slide. Otherwise, you're bound to drive new members away.

This news to me :!: I must be getting behind on the computer search or
something  lol what things or persons can do to hurt others. I enjoy
this quilting group---funny, intelligent and very kind people. I don't always
have time to get on the chat group or just plain busy on the home front.

Thanks for the info and I keep reading on and learning from you all :D
hugs----yoya

i don't delete with reckless fervor. neither does Admin. we've let some pretty "outrageous" comments remain untouched. it's a matter of trying to maintain that tricky balance between freedom of speech, a sense of humor, and understanding human individuality and imperfection while not letting things to too far, get too gross, too vulgar, too potentially hurtful, or become too likely to start really ugly arguments.

i've deleted comments from close friends. heck ... i've even deleted myself a few times. it's all about what's best for the collective - never about one, two, or a very few individuals. i don't regret my choices and i don't apologize. however, if i think the "offense" was most likely accidental, i do send a pm to explain for that person's information and future reference. we are great believers in second chances.
