    Default Which thread to use....

I'm in the process of gathering old neck ties to make a crazy quilt from them. I've got all of my ties washed, pressed and ready to start pieceing them to backing fabric and I want to do this by hand. What kind of thread should I use. I want to use a very strong thread that will hold up when then quilt is handled. I'm only going to use it in my extra bedroom and not as a quilt that I cover up with at night. But, I still want to use a strong, durable thread. Thanks so much for any suggestions..........Patti

I'm not much of a choosie thread person but for a tie project I would not want to use a heavy thread. maybe Try some Arufil . I love this thread and it has a slim profile and some sheen that will match the sheen of the ties. Try some samples of different threads on your material and go for the one you like the look of!
