Smile Three Color Baby Quilt Patterns

    Hi,

I have been a member for awhile and so far, have just been reading this wonderful forum every day!
I need some help on making a baby quilt. The colors needed are red and white with a hint of black.
Does anyone have some good ideas as to what pattern to use? Do not know if baby will be girl or
boy. I do have some fabric that has sea life on it in primary colors which would be cute to incorporate
with the red, white and black. Any suggestions would be so appreciated. I have learned so much from
this forum and am totally addicted! Thank you!

Yes. how about a disappearing nine patch. Use red in the four corners, white in the cross blocks and black in the center. The sea life fabric would make it four?

How about using the sea fabric as the big squares of the Warm Wishes pattern with the other colours as the striped squares.

Tartan has a great suggestion. I just finished a baby quilt using Warm Wishes pattern and it turned out really well.

I agree with Tartan and patsynel, Warm Wishes would be great. Just finished a baby quilt using that pattern with sea fabric as the focus squares, turned out really nice. I did water meander, at Tartan's suggestion, for the quilting on the rail fence blocks--looks fantastic.

I use the Disappearing 9Patch in a 3 color way alot and this was also my first thought when I read your questions about a 3 color quilt with a hint of black.

This is a pattern I make for quick gifts. 3 1yard pieces yields 3 quilt tops

Thank you ALL for your help and suggestions! Now, I just have to decide which pattern to go with, since I love
them all that were suggested! I am thinkin I just might have to make more than one! Baby's can never have
    enough quilts right?
