Fat Cat patterns have some cute appliqués. Her patterns are kind of folk artsy and very nice.

For appliques, I used a bunch of sources. I was making an alphabet animal quilt, with at least one animal for each letter. For the animal appliques, I used coloring books, googled the name of the animal I wanted, and adapted what-ever I found. I was looking mostly for appliques that looked good as a single color shapes.

I pick my design, like when i did my funky cat quilt. Then went to bing, and put in cute cats, funny funky riding a bike, eating icecream ect. Thats how i do it.
