Default TinLizzie 18ESP

Can anyone tell me if there are any consistent problems with the new TinLizzie 18 ESP with the Quilt Magician? How does it compare with the new Handi Quilter with ProStitcher?
I want to purchase one of the machines, but have heard a lot of problems with the timing on the Handi Quilter.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

I had a Tin Lizzie 18 with stitch regulation and lost it in a fire. I replaced it with the Handi Quilter Pro Stitcher and there is NO comparison. I really didn't like Lizzie and the HQ 18 is out of this world. I love it!!

How old was the TinLizzie you lost? What is the most significant factor that makes the HQ better? I have looked at both, but cannot decide which one will be the best.
Thanks,
Janie

I tried the tin lizzie at a quilt show a few years ago as well as the handi-quilter. The handi-quilter won hands down. I have had my handi-quilter for 4 years now and have never regretted it. I have had no problems with the timing and not only quilt for myself, but others as well. Have also called the company and had my questions answered by the techs who work on the machines. Would I buy another one? Absolutely with out hesitation.

Greenbranch, the Pensacola Tin Lizzie place is opening up soon...
I just purchased a Lizzie. It is arriving today. There was a problem with my initial one so it was taken in to be looked at. They said the timing was out. It was new :'(

I tried the HQ machines and the Lizzie and I chose the Lizzie. I did like the HQ's but felt the price wasn't worth what I was getting in the end. You really need to personally try both machines before you decide. Some people will like one over the other.
The Lizzie rep I've been dealing with has been fabulous. She is bringing it back to my house this afternoon.

I will say that the HQ was a little quieter than the Lizzie. I bought a sit down model and I personally liked the table and machine orientation better on the Lizzie. Both had really nice stitch quality.
Buying a machine is truly a personal thing.

My new machine was delivered yesterday and it stitches nicely. Having said that, it is a sit down model so it's not what you are looking for. My rep said that they Pensacola center is open. I wish I lived closer. They are going to have machine quilting workshops and all sorts of interesting stuff going on there.

The Lizzies that are out now are different than the ones from a few years ago. I remember when I first started looking at quilting machines a few years ago. The Lizzie was just as if not heavier than the Voyager. The new ones don't weight that much anymore. They have done a lot of updating it.

I think that no matter what you end up with, you will be happy but really do try them both out... preferably on the same day if you can swing it. The HQ is a really nice machine. If their sit down was orientated longwise like a home sewing machine, I would have probably bought it over the Lizzie truth be said. It's a physically more attractive machine (silly, I know) and it's quieter. I don't regret my decision at all though. This Lizzie will be good for me
