I love Sally Collins for her precision. She makes miniatures. She has a lot of tips. I also follow leah day and she also has good tips

There's good advice here, so the only thing I can say is, starch, starch, starch.

I found this solution online and it is ideal for me because I have a lot of small scraps I want to use. You might check it out and see if it appeals to you http://quiltingdigest.com/ingenious-...abric-squares/

Starch. Starch is your friend. Did I say starch?
Precision cutting. Precision piecing. Did I say starch?

Sewing with 1.5" pieces is everyday sewing for me. Making my Dear Jane quilt in the late 90's cured me of worrying about piece size. This is the border on one of my Kudzu quilt, all 1.5" pieces (1" finished) Fun! and did I say starch? It's fun!

Did you say "starch"? Yes, I forgot to mention starch, too. What a lovely quilt!

There are many things that help but the 2 that worked the best for me is number 1. press your seams open and no. 2 use Mary Ellen Best Press.

A tailor uses a “clapper” to flatten seams.

I have had fun with paper piecing patterns from the book “Little Gems” (Kaufman.) A bunch of really cute small designs!
