This was given to me as it appears here. It looks as if this person cut it apart as the one row is only 3/4 of an inch in the one spot. As you can see some of the corners do not match. This was common in all of this lady's quilts. Also being cut like this was common.

It is smaller than a twin bed size and is approx 36 x 32 inches in size.

Anyone got ideas on what to do to make this look like a "perfect" quilt. It will be given to someone that is facing a cold winter. Church starts collecting things about this time of the year to keep our community warm during the winter months. Everything I had has already been given so I'm beginning for next year.

Since it is that small (36" x 32") I'd call it a baby quilt. I'd just even off the edges, and bind it. If after evening off the edges, you think it is too small for a baby quilt, you could add a small border around it, then bind it.

Unless you add a lot to it, the quilt is no where near a twin size or lap quilt size, so I'd keep it a baby quilt.

Agree. It is a baby sized quilt. With the seams that much off, I would cut it in four equal segments and rearrange them, add sashing and border, simple cross hatch quilting and bind. Turn that negative into a creative feature I make most of my baby quilts a size to on a 42/43 wide backing that is about that same measurement in length. Lots of donation quilts for Project Linus and other local organizations.

You know this lady took the time to make it for someone I assume this is a donation quilt. Well everything does not match up I am sure the child won't notice it looks colorful they might notice that.

Baby quilt it will become. Thanks for all your suggestions. It will be a very warm blankie as I am putting double batting in each of the quilts. We had over a foot of snow last year -- first time ever and the cold was there as well. Can't let any of my human family become cold.

I will work on the give away quilts all year so I have several boxes for the chuch pastors to give out close to this time of year 2023.

Add an applique kitty or dog to the quilt and the offset background will look perfect! Maybe something similar to this.

This was going to my suggestion as well. I was thinking of adding design elements like 70's style flowers or maybe peace signs so the quilt is the background. Or maybe pockets and you could put something in each one? If a baby quilt, maybe add zippers, ties, snaps and buttons to keep baby occupied?

The size sounds like a wheel chair quilt. Like the others, I would use this as a background and appliqué something on it.

Kitty quilt also works wonders for this fabric. I have 2 full-sized pattern--IF they will lay still long enough for me to trace around. My patterns also breathe.
