I was in too big of a hurry to do justice to my DGS oversized queen quilt. I had to hand tie it as all long arm quilters are too busy at this time of year to get it done in time for Christmas.
The front is okay and lays flat, but the back is HORRENDOUS!!. I have wrinkles in the backing, but didn't notice until I finished the hand tying as I had to do in on my living room floor over carpet. I can't undo any of it, so hope he will understand. He is a really sweet boy and I know that he will use it because "Grandma made it for me". Thanks for letting me vent. Merry Christmas to all and may your projects turn out well.

He probably won't see a single wrinkle - he'll just see something wonderful made by Grandma.

Thanks for the support. I am working on the binding as I always do it by hand.

My grandson has the first 'quilt' I made. It's really quite horrible, but he loves it. Why? Two reasons: 1) he watched me making it and 2) it feels cool on him when he gets into bed and he likes that. He sleeps in the top bunk, heat rises, so the initial coolness feels good.

He's happy, I'm happy. I told him that his quilt is the best one I will ever make because I learned so much making it.

Your grandson will love the quilt you made!
