I made one out of an old scanner. Just remove the insides and put a light inside. I got a little fluorescent light that fits in there for just a few dollars.

Found one at Big Lots a few years back. They are so nice to have when you need it. Enjoy yours.

When we remodeled, there was an extra drawer left over. I had a plexiglass cut to fit, fastened a tube light in the bottom and use the drawer pull as a carrying handle. I can also thread the cord thru the drawer pull for storage. My only cost was the plexiglass.

I always wanted an Over Head Projector like the old schoolers used.I found one on Ebay for 44.00 instead of around 250-300 new.It works great you really can enlarge on that thing.I am happy you found what you needed.Have a good time using it.

That was a great deal. I bought mine at Michael's 50% off, but was a lot more than $10. Like someone mentioned it is something you don't use a lot, but it sure is nice when you need it. I have a big applique project I am doing and it has been wonderful to have. I have a glass table too and used that for a long time, but this is so much more convenient than that setup.

Default Light box

I used a old scanner, took the insides out put a light in it and walla inexpensive light box. If I had known about that crayola one I would have gotten that one. It looks neat. I am glad you found something so cheap. Mine is kind of big and bulky but I love it.

I bought a spider man light box on clearance for just a few dollars after Christmas one year...everybody laughed at me! Once I got rid of the stickers, etc...I really like it and use it a lot..plus, it opens up so I have a place to store my tracing pencils, glue, and little pieces of fabric..I really like it!

My hubby built me one also. Cost was 0 because he used an old speaker box and we had everything else that we needed. It is great because I do a lot of hand embroidery and I can trace a lot of pictures in the time it would take me to copy on the computer
