Yes, My mother who has been sewing for 70 years but due to cataracts and other health issues is able to sew again!
She is a member of this board but doesn't "talk" because she doesn't type and is terrified of computer. We got her sewing machine (Singer 404- she bought it new in the lat 50's) out of storage cleaned & tuned it. She is now able to sew with it. I am so happy because now she has her favorite pastime back.. She gets tired because it's been at least 6 years since she's been able to sew but she is very happy to be able to participate fully in the IRR 3. We started out ... she bought the fabric and helped with the design, but I did all the cutting and sewing... now all I have to do is the cutting :D

Hooray for Mom and being able to do something she used to do. My husband had cataract surgery on both eyes in Dec and passed his eye test for drivers license without glasses! He's worn glasses since he was 9 or 10 and is now 63. He was amazed! Wonderful advances they have made through the years!
