Twister Spider
Impulsively purchased this pattern <http://www.pohlarfabrics.com/shop/Twisted-Patterns-by-Rose-Pohlar/p/Twisted-Spider-x943879.htm> and lived to regret it when I realized it makes a 64x45 wall hanging. Way too big for any place I can use it.
It calls for using the Lil Twister ruler which uses 5" squares of fabric. Since I want it smaller, I'm thinking of using the Primitive Gatherings Pinwheel tool that uses 3.5" squares.
Shop tells me no problem, but I'd like to know if anyone has actually "shrunk" one of the twister patterns by using a smaller tool...and were you happy with it?
Thanks,
Margaret

There is a smaller Twister tool I think it's called the Belly Button? I think any pattern can be made smaller using a smaller tool BUT I found it hard to rotary cut small twister squares for my Christmas tree so don't go to small.

Well, I bought it thinking it would make a reasonably sized wall-hanging, but at the stated size, it would be too big for any walls that I have. Sadly, no sofa to throw it over, either.
I used the template that uses 5" squares to make a wreath of flag fabric and that was fine. I'm thinking the next size smaller would be tolerable to work with, but the really small twister tool uses 2.5" fabric squares and I'm not anxious to start cutting and sewing a zillion of those .
Thanks for letting me know that the product from up and down-sizing looked okay. I think I'll go with the Primitive Pinwheels tool (template is 2.25"; uses 3.5" fabric squares)
