I sandwiched a panel to a minkee backing for my DD's baby quilt and used spray basting. Quilting came out ok, no puckers or pulls on the back. Just wondered if the spray basting is OK to use on minkee. Just thought of it after getting the quilting done. Now I just have to bind it. Thanks for your input. I know someone here will know if it's something I shouldn't have done or if it will be OK.

I watched a tutorial that showed a quilt done completely in minkee, and the lady spray-basted the entire project. I think it will be fine. I have one in the long-arm right now, however, I dont use spray products with my long-arm

as long as you are going to wash it out when the binding is done and it worked i don't see why it isn't (ok) to do-
i would have thought it would not hold= but since it did---no reason to think it's now not ok
???

Good questions. Mine is flannel on the front and will have a minky back. This may have saved my life! Thanks!!

Thanks, fatquarters, that makes me feel more at ease.
And to cloudshadows: Go for it, girl! Be sure you stretch slightly as you quilt the sandwich, I had heard to do that so as I quilted on my DSM, I slightly stretched it using my hands in kind of a spread eagle shape. I was astonished at how nicely the minkee backing looked after quilting!
Thanks to all the quilters here on the board! You have gotten me more comfortable with sewing & quilting than I have been in years.
