Your top is just beautiful! I'm so glad you found it. I also vote for more stars. I'm having a hard time visualizing the tulips with the stars.

Have you thought about using groupings in the style of triangles from your center star such as the yellow, light orange, dark orange and have the ones on top pointing down and on the bottom pointing up? They would be similar to the points on a tulip but in keeping with the stars on the quilt and you could vary the colors of the points.
