Will be buying my Crown Jewel at the end of the month, and it comes with the 10 ft frame. They offer a 2 ft extension - but it up front and be done with it or wait and see if I need it?
My dealer seems to get things in pretty fast.

If you plan on doing king size you may need the extra. I have a 10 foot and it's plenty for me but I only do king size rarely. If you have the room for it I would probably go ahead with the extra. I only had room for a 10 foot.

I have a 10' frame and I can quilt just a bit over 100" wide quilt but I don't like going that big as I have very little space on the side for changing out bobbins and the side clamps. I only had room in my house for 10' frame. I have only had to turn away one quilt because it was too large for my frame.

If it's easy to add later, and if there's not a cost penalty, why not wait and see? I know I would want the 12', but I make a lot of larger quilts. It's definitely easier quilting when there is extra room on the sides.
