When you make your bed - (why don't we say "straightening the mattress covers? - we bought our bed already constructed) - do you put your last layer (spread/quilt/comforter) over or under your pillows?

I put it over the bed pillows. then put pillows with shams on top of those.

Over! I work hard on my quilts and am pleased with the results when all done. I want to see as much of it as possible.

I don't do pillow shams or throw pillows.

Under with it turned a few inches and top sheet turned down on top of it. Then pillow shams butted up to fold.

Depends. If my pillowcases coordinate/match/or go with the bed top I put the pillows on top. If they clash with the bed cover I put the cover over the pillows.

Under. I like to put 4 bed pillows on top of the last layer, hotel style.

Under with pillows on top. It's easier that way and since I use a cheap bedspread on my bed rather than a quilt I don't feel the need to show the whole thing.
