Default Update to Dizzy Geese

I had posted asking for assitance making this block, designed by Joan Streck.

Using templates.....need some help!

Feline fanatic suggested a make a paper pieced pattern instead of traditionally piecing this with the templates. I could not figure out the paper pieced pattern for the entire block, but I was able to paper piece the star points after making a pattern from the templates.
Success!!!!
You need your imagination for this....the blue rectangles will be flying geese...I just used random scraps for this. It lays flat, and it is 17 1/2”, just like its supposed to be! When I make the actual blocks, I will cut the 2corner triangle piecs larger than the pattern calls for and trim them.
Thank you all for your suggestions!

on carol doaks website ..in free patterns there are tutorials also. i don't like paper piecing (too much waste) but it does come in handy for some projects. so, here is a tute for converting block patterns to paperpieced patterns. hope you fond it useful ...amd that is a beautiful block! goodluck!!

Who would have thought orange and pink would go so well together. Very nice block.
