i seem to remember reading something about using magnetic seam guides on computer sewing machines, but don't remember if we should or shouldn't.
i know there are a few people that repair machines on here.
should i use it or not.
could you please give me your opinion.
thank you in advance.

ps. i also wear a magnetic bracelet, should i take it off.

a magnet wiped out my laptop computer so I would be careful if you have a computer machine.

I can answer the magnet ???. NO DO NOT put a magnet on your computerized sewing machine. Use sticky notes or tape.

I would think it is better to be safe...mole skin or sticky notes or tape.

I keep all magnets away from my computer and my sewing machine. They cause lots of problems with computers.

is your bracelet magnetic enough to pick up metal objects? do paper clips fly off the desk and attach themselves to your arm? if not, then you should be safe.

i've just done a bit of fishing around on the internet. while magnets and computers still do not work and play well together, the magnet has to be fairly powerful to do any damage. old fashioned CRT monitors might also be damaged by a magnet.

that said, i would not put a magnet on or near a computerized sewing machine, or attach it directly to anything "computerized". why take chances?

Instead of using a magnetic seam guide you can use something like this:
