I have a quilt- as- you- go pattern for a table runner that's reversible. It's called : Reversible Table Runner Too, designed by Karen Montgomery from The Quilt Company. I made one with fruits on one side and fall prints on the other. Then I bought all the vegie /fruit prints I could find to make more, but only one made so far. Maybe they'll get done for Christmas gifts for 2010.

Wow, you have even more vegie /fruit prints than I've found. I like the scallions.

I made one last summer as a wedding gift for a niece. It was just AWESOME. I used a courthouse steps pattern that I drew myself on graph paper so I could get each piece big enough to really show the fruit/vegetable designs. She just loved it - everyone who saw it did. I have tons of scraps left and I'm going to try to make another one (not courthouse steps though) for myself this fall. Most of the fabric was Farmer John's Market I think. Just beautiful fabrics and so realistic!!!

I feel kind of dumb when it comes to all these abreviations.
What does OBW mean? Just would be nice to learn to understand these. Thankyou.

OBW stands for one block wonder. It is a type of kaleidoscope quilt. You use only one fabric and layer it in a way that when you cut your triangles, you have six that are exactly the same. Most of the time, people will include a piece of the original fabric on the border or on the back so that you can see how it looked in the beginning. It is a really good pattern to use for large scale prints. If you do a search at the top here for OBW you should see some threads that show what it looks like. I have made two (but they are not quite finished so I haven't posted them yet) and it's a lot of fun and the best thing is that it looks really hard but it's really not!! :-)

My avatar is a OBW. The original fabric has toucans, parrots, and other tropical birds sitting in green foliage. If you look closely you can see bird heads, tails, bodies, etc.
