Default Very surprised at Hubbys Xmas gift

I love going on quilt retreats with my friends, so he decided to send us all on a retreat at the Redstone Castle next year. I was completely shocked and bowled over with his generocity, as were my friends. Watch out "castle" we are a crazy bunch of ole gals, and when we fire up our machines... whew!

That is wonderfully sweet and romantic as he thought enough to get a gift you would truly love.

I've stayed there, in the maid's suite!! It snowed like crazy that night til the upstairs windows were half covered with blowing snow. I had to personally go down in my jammies and let the cook/employee in the back door, as she had to hike up the long, unplowed driveway and no one else heard her knocking. We were the only guests and were treated like royalty, even with choosing the maid's suite so our little daughter could be next door to our room. Huge fireplace, warm drinks, comfy chairs by the windows so I could quilt while daddy and daughter played in the snow. A special memory!

Thought they had closed this wondrous facility and am delighted to hear you will be attending a retreat there! You will LOVE IT!! Wish I were joining you!

Need some more friends? I volunteer. Just kidding and a bit jealous too. What a cool, original and fabulous gift. Have a blast!
