janome 6300

I bought one earlier in the year. It was the floor demo (but had barely been touched) and got it for $900 and no sales tax (love Delaware big ticket shopping). Money-wise it was as far as I wanted to go. There's so much about it I love and there's nothing I don't.

Wow! That sounds like a great price. Do you know the person selling it? I just haven't been able to find much in the way of internet commentary on the pros & cons of this machine, which is frustrating.

No I don't know her but she lives in the same state I do. I guess that doesn't say much for her being legite.
I use and love my husqvarna D1. I am wondering if it would be something I would love to quilt with like the D1. I want to leave the D1 set up for embroidery and sew or quilt on the other. I'm wondering how it sews compared to the D1.

She said she bought a Bernina. Said she loved the Janome and was sad to see it go. I think she probably wanted the embroidery, also.
I am wondering what she'll be buying to replace it. Is she sticking with Janome or going to a different make. I only reason I'd sell my 6300 would be to upgrade to a newer Janome.

I wonder if it will still be under warranty since it's still new. If you didn't know, Janome has a pretty good web site and you can use their 'Ask Jan' system to ask any question you may have. Or you can PM me, although I'm no authority. This will take you to 'Ask Jan' >>>
