Cool Viking Midarm to Longarm

Hello everyone! I'm new to the Board but have come in and read the useful info here often. I've been quilting for 9 yrs or so but sewing for 50 yrs or so. I have a particular question. I have a Husqvarna Viking Platinum midarm that I have placed on a Falcon frame in order to longarm with it ( until I save enough for a proper longarm). I am having trouble utilizing the machine without the foot pedal, as the TruStitch will only work on a flat surface. Does anyone know of a work around for this? Maybe a Cruise control or Sure stitch regulator that can be used to get the machine started without using the foot pedal? That would be a deal breaker, what a pain! Thanks in advance for any advice!

Don't know if this works on a mid arm, but I have a Grace Stitch Regulator on my Viking Mega Quilter short arm that starts from a button on the arm of my frame. Not sure of this is what you mean?

Yes. Something like that is what I'm looking for but that one says it is not for a Falcon Frame and the connector doesn't look like it will fit my machine pedal input plug. Something like that is exactly what I need though. Thanks.
