Has anyone used any of the sulky threads for hand quilting? If so, which one works best and what problems did you encounter?

I am replying for my great aunt - she tried Sulky but didn't like it because it frayed way too easily. She uses Gutermann hand quilting thread and adores it!

I like gutermann.
