How does one go about cleaning that blackside stuff? It's not chrome, it's supposed to be 'dull', right? I don't want to use a cleaner or polish on it and somehow rub it off.

Is blackside a coating? a decal? Or is it that the metal is actually a different composition, and it's like that all the way through (not plated). ???

How does one restore the metal pieces? Will Kero hurt it?

Ah... the deeper I get, the more questions I have!

Thanks!

lostin51 is the best to ask this question to. Also the Vintage shop has a tutorial on how to clean these machines!

It's safe to use baby oil on it. Most other stuff will dull the finish.
