This is my first chance to get upstairs. for the virtual quilt retreat day. I have cut a bunch of 1 1/2" white strips to go on the batik strips. My next goal is to sew the rows together on the wonky log cabin UFO. Pictures to follow by the end of the day,
Talk with you all later, I hear a machine calling.

I'm in for today also!

First I need to make some machine embroidered labels for a couple of otherwise finished pieces. One is a table topper, the other a baby quilt for a grand-niece on the way.

After that I need to get started on selecting fabric and threads for a heavily quilted mule head portrait art quilt for a new friend from Texas I rode with a couple of weeks ago in the Superstitions. I've been working on drawing up the pattern and quilting plan from a photo and am ready to get started. This will be the second one I've done like this and I'm hoping to refine my techniques a bit. Here's a pic of the first one: http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...e-t209642.html

Happy quilting day everyone!

I can't find post either. My list is:

Finish tying a baby quilt for a local organization called Bundles of Love.
Finish a baby quilt top, sandwich it, pillowcase turn it, and tie for my church group
Take a deep breath and get the flying geese part done on Judy's mystery train quilt. It will be my first time sewing flying geese.
Go through Easter/spring fabrics that were donated and choose pattern and size of quilt.

During break times, I will be rearranging/moving things in my sewing area.

I'm ready to go, also. My goals for the day are: 1) put final border on quilt for my son's 40th bd in March 2) piece backing for above quilt 3) finish quilting baby quilt for donation 4) sew binding on baby quilt 5) hand sew binding down 5) finish hand sewing binding on my strip tube quilt. Thanks, Rachel, for having these days. Love seeing everyone's progress!

Couldn't find the post either, but I'm ready to go: Candles lit, marathon sewing playlist loaded up, new needles, new blades..yep ready to go. Here's my list for today:
Finish piecing a seminole border for my double irish chain, attach the borders and then put the sashing on my "wedding memories" quilt and maybe get it assembled.
If I get that done I have a table runner all cut out and I would like to get that finished up.
.....and we're off!!

Taking a break. I have all 4 QFKs ready to quilt. The pinning is the worst part. I miss my long arm; can't wait for it to get fixed.

I'm here today! Whew, almost missed this one. I was planning grocery list and meal preparation; almost headed out to grocery store. I will do that tomorrow. Today, I am going to join the group and quilt. I am going to put two borders on the long sides of my quilt, then the top will be done. After that I am going to play with my DWR and make a block or two to see how that is going to go. The DWR will be my next project for son's wedding in July. Will post pictures shortly.

Have fun today!!!

taking a break, just cannot get into the "sewing moment" today, having a cupa cappocino (instant), sewing in a new room feels awkward - I got used to the tiny nook where the computer was only 3 steps away from the sewing. I will have to bring my laptop from work and set it up in the "sewing room to be" room. I set the timer by my computer for 15 minutes, then it is back to the UFO. Be back around lunch time
