That doxie sure was cute Patrice, even if you did have to wrangle one inch squares--Loved the sunglasses!

Boston1954- I think the wider sashing looks sharp!

Janjanq- your pineapple quilt is going to be beautiful. I'm looking forward to seeing what you decide to do for the borders!

My pink and yellow Birch Branches is a flimsy, last border on, striped border, mitered corners, very cute, all 4 matched. There was one place on one short end where I joined the border, that I lost the striped pattern. Nothing I could do, the repeat was 6 inches. Birch Branches used up 18-7/8 yards, including binding.

The back is pieced, 98 x 116. I used up 9-3/8 yards on the back. These are great numbers for my cut down plan.

I made 826" of bias binding. That's enough for 2 queen sized quilts, so 1 extra.

Here's two mitered corners, and a bit of blocks & borders. Don't tell me- the piecing is lousy. I learned a lot on this quilt. I followed the book directions. If I make this particular quilt again, I think I'll start with the 4 patches and add triangles from there, rather than make a square Into a triangle and attach it to another triangle.

Rob, that's a novel finish. I really like it.

Love the doxi!!! I don't see your mistake. I'm looking forward to your big quilt.

Rob, fantastic art quilt.

Well, I'm about ready to settle into my comfy chair to watch a Nascar Race and work on some slow stitching. Here's my projects for today.

I got two rows sewn together on my jack's chain quilt. It is slow going, all Y seams the way I am doing it but I am happy with the way it looks so far. If I get it assembled tomorrow I might be able to get some longarm time Monday since I don't have to work!

Sewed the corners on some sashing but not as many as I wanted.

I had to go get more costumes from a local group. The high school group I work with is putting on the Wedding Singer in 3 weeks and we needed dresses and suits. There are 4 weddings, a bar Mitzvah and a 50 the anniversary party. And most of the ensemble are in all of those scenes and a couple more. Some ensemble people have 7 costumes and we have at least 20 in the ensemble.

Maybe tomorrow after we have lunch with our sons and their wives I can get some rows sewn together.

I was able to get 2/3 of my HSTs done today - about 290. The rest will be done tomorrow morning and hopefully I can get started on assembling the blocks.

Got a bit side tracked with getting the tomato and pepper seeds started. I'm a bit late, hopefully everything germinates quickly.

Well, today all I accomplished was to pin on my long diagonal for Easy Street. Tomorrow is free of obligations so I might make more progress.

Boston, I love your masonry quilt. The sashing really sets the squares off!

I didn't get much done today. I was having trouble sleeping and then the old dog had me up at 2 am and I was so tired, I sat down and cried. Didn't get back to sleep until much later. I did sleep until 11 though. I went to Joann's and got somethings I needed to make the Professional Tote and a tablet holder. I got fabrics pulled for both of those, too. Hopefully, tonight will be a better night and I can get some work done tomorrow.
