Hi everyone! VQW is a great way to kick off my week ahead - tomorrow I head to Shipshewana! A whole week of shopping, eating and sewing with a retreat that kicks off on Wednesday. Boy am I excited! I've packed 5 projects, some well along, others not at all...

I am so in on doing this after I sleep after I get off working graveyard tonight. Have 1 to bind and started cutting on king size quilt that needs to be done by July 6th for a wedding gift. Can't wait to see what we all can accomplish this weekend .

Will be enjoying seeing everyone's projects again, thanks for hosting! I started putting away things in my sewing room and "dusting"... where does it all come from I will hopefully get a couple more rows of machine quilting hearts on a single size scrappy. We have an Easter Brunch/1st bday most of the day tomorrow and then on Monday I am having 8 people to share our meal.... puts me in a tizzy as I am so used of only 2 or 4 of us...

Looking forward to seeing what everyone is working on this weekend. I expect to sew a lot, hubby is away working and the weather forecast is calling for lots of rain.
I have 10 more of these setting triangles to big stitch and then bind it - quilt is for a dear friend who is retiring from the military after 35 years of service.

Working on binding my Tumbler quilt and may just get back to working on the quilting on a UFO that has been glaring at me for some time now.

Here's the UFO I'm working on. All that's left is to do a facing on the back to cover the tails of the loops and then a hanging sleeve and label. It's a collaborative art quilt with 2 other artists who contributed- DH contributed the printed squares which I then quilted and appliquéd to the larger piece and then quilted some more. and a friend contributed the round piece with the painted circles inside which I then appliquéd to the bigger quilt and quilted. It's approximately 41"W and 65"L counting the shiny red loops. It's for a collaborative art show in May that we three have been working on for 3 years now.

I'm going to put it aside for today and go through my UFO pile to find another one to finish.

I'm in. Even on Easter weekend, I can be here most of the time.

Enough furniture has been moved so I can get into my LA room. So some cleaning and arranging are due.

Wed, going to a retreat. Getting sandwiches turned for edges and pinned ready to quilt at retreat. This way I will need a minimum of special tools. Have got at least 20 charity quilts to quilt. Getting these out of here will open up some space in sewing studio.

Also must work on program for guild and get the newsletter article to that person.

I’m in! Just loaded a quilt on my longarm, and I have one on my design wall that needs to be pieced together. My goal is to get both of them at least quilted. I can work on binding later. It seems that every quilt I have done over the last year has been either queen size or king size, I’m looking forward to doing cuddle size!

Rob, I love that collaboration quilt! Very striking!

I’m really looking forward to seeing everyone’s projects.

Rob- very unique quilt, love the fringe.

Did some shopping today, been working on a flannel donation quilt. Lots of little pieces from the fabric bin at church. Doing HST's and 3 piece strip blocks. Haven't figured a layout yet but it will come. Amazing how warm 62 is in the spring.

I've sewn and pressed all the pinned blocks, still have about 20 more blocks to pin. I made a few of the quarter block units to take the picture but that's actually jumping ahead a bit. The dark purple will be the same border all around the quilt and the binding will be the same fabric.

I really like how simple the block is but how the even amounts of light/dark form an interlocking/tessellated pattern.

Edit: This is an all stash project! I've used up some of my last bits of both white-on-whites and purples. I was actually just about one WoF (width of fabric) 2.5" row short of the white I'm using in the border units. The four corners were made with the same purple but a very similar fabric that is slightly brighter white.
