Yes, I'm quilting right now. The binding is done!

I am trying to finish up my challenge quilt to be revealed at our meeting tomorrow. In one of you VQWs, I hinted at my project with this pic

It is finally quilted and I'm hand sewing the binding on the back this morning. Here's a sneak peek of the back of the quilting

Tomorrow, I will reveal the whole quilt. This is probably the biggest project I've done that I made the pattern for myself. I'm kind of excited about it.

I’m finishing the quilting on a house warming present and then pressing a quilt top made by my friends grandma who just went to a nursing home last week. As Erika was packing up her nanaws things she found this top that Nanaw had hand pieced and then set on the shelf. I’ve known Nanaw for many years and it saddens me to see her decline, so I’m thrilled that Erika asked me to quilt it for her.

I need to make a kid's quilt for my guild by Friday. This will be the perfect opportunity. The guild furnished the fabric. It is Thomas, the train fabric. I will start this morning after completing the typical morning routine. Thanks for the nudge.

What a perfect weekend for VQW...we are expecting 12 to 18 inches of snow on Sunday. Our first big one of the year, now let’s hope we don’t loose power. I am loading ORL onto my new longarm and will do an edge to edge to get the darn thing done. We are going to Ohio first weekend of February and will take the quilt with me to give to our niece and her husband as their very belated wedding gift.

Nan, I can’t wait to see your reveal.
Rob, I hope you have recovered well from your surgery.

I'm in. My current project is to make Two of Cabin in the Woods by Deb McInnis from Washington State (Piecing in the Past). It is a sampler on point with sashing and cornerstones. Two fold objective: sell them and use up scraps and my extensive stash. So far of the 18 blocks, I have 4 done.

I've noticed that my quilting and attention to points is much worse than it used to be. In other words, I used to be a better piecer. I seem to be losing as I age....anyone else doing this?

Thanks Jmoore- I’m pretty much back up to speed except for lifting anything over 20 pounds.

QuiltnNan- the back looks great, looking forward to the reveal!

I’m in, but won’t quilt much today. We had 75 degree weather yesterday & it will be almost as warm today, so I rode out to a friend’s house for a visit yesterday & we may get together for a ride today. But like many others, our weather will take a nose dive tonight & it may freeze. So I’ll work on my Unwind quilt, which I’m still quilting. It’s straight line quilting, but it’s large & rather tedious on my DSM. I hope to finish quilting & maybe bind it this weekend. Thanks for hosting, Raggiemom!

I look forward to Virtual Weekend every month. I will be working on the sashing and borders for the penquin quilt and hopefully get it prepared for quilting on my DSM. I'll post pictures once I get the top sewn together......here I go. LOL

I'll be watching for pictures! If I get anything done over the weekend, I'll show it. I had two finishes yesterday... does that count? They were UFOs and will be donated at my guild meeting tomorrow.
