I got the light corners changed out on this Swingin' Checkerboards quilt top... and I like it much better!

Next I had to go back to sewing diapers. I got 8 diaper covers and 12 soaker inserts made, and packaged up to mail to the soon-to-be mama.

I also had a bride come for a fitting of her wedding gown. Whew... she needs so many alterations. I have to get right on it so it will be done before my second grandbaby arrives.

This is my top with darker corners. Looks much better.

I had hoped to make more progress on my strippy triangles today, but I just could not get going. I didn't want the day to be a total loss, so I remembered I had purchased a collection of embroidery designs for a quilt for my new grandson, so I set the machine to work without me.

Sewbizgirl, the new corners are perfect! Beautiful quilt!

JJ, can't wait to see the finished quilt! These animals are special!

Geevee, I love your new bag! It sings of Spring!

Very first project off my new to me midarm machine. Did an all over simple meander. Got lots to learn but so far I'm enjoying it and am enjoying learning this new quilting skill.

Sewbizgirl, I like the new corners too, perfect!

Well it turns out that the hubby does indeed have the flu, he will probably be in bed until Wednesday -- which will interfere some with my sewing decisions but so it goes.

Today he is feeling a little better so on the way home from the doctor and picking up an inhaler we got a corned beef for dinner (he loves his corned beef).

We are back home now, I have the corned beef starting and put hubby back to bed with a 6-pack of Vernor's to assist in his recovery which led to a discussion at the check out line, lady behind us was from Michigan and the cashier was also (Detroit), hubby is from Grand Rapids and apparently everyone in Michigan knows that Vernor's is the magic drink when you are sick.

Very cute quilting! You must have a stitch regulator on your machine, because your stitches are way more even than mine!

Looks like a lot of work being done this weekend! Love seeing everyone's projects! I finished my 2 quilts...had one mainly done, and the other needed borders, quilting and binding. Both simple and quick!

Ice Blossom, I had a feeling your hubby might have the flu... but what is Vernors? Alcoholic?

Adorable scrappy, Recycler. And the second one has scrappy cornerstones! Too cute.
