I'm making potholders for christmas presents. From reading back posts I've decided to use 1 layer of insulbrite & 1 layer of warm & natural. The question is how much should I quilt it?

I think I would use at least 2-3 layers of batting. I quilt mine in an X. Make sure everything used is cotton or it will melt.

It all depends on whether you want is soft and supple, then maybe an open meander, X or a couple of lines of gridwork.
If you don't mind it being stiffer, then more gridwork, tighter meandering, or other quilting designs :D:D:D

For quilting, it is such a small area, so just use your imagination! :)

Whatever you want, it's a good way to practice FMQ if you have a pattern you want to work on.
