i started buying qom from walmart when i started working in fabric dept. did not anything about fabric. really learned alot after a few weeks of handling material. went on to be dept. manager and always tried to keep qom on shelves. our store in canton, ga. still has fabric but remodel is 2011 and fabric will be gone. i probably have 50 qom in tubs. i retired in march so i am trying to quilt some everyday! oh! i am a great grandmother for first time i love him!!!!!

I know that Walmart's prices are usually very good - however, if we truly care about each other, and most quilters do, it is important to keep in mind that Walmart does not treat their help as they should and are not unionized and do help lead to the downfall of many other small stores

I'm not positive but I think generally 10 - 15 yards...

And so are the clerks there, just doing a job with no interest in actually
being a "sales" clerk.
I bought most of two pieces of fabric that I'd had good results with
before, two yards of each. One had lots of material left, but after asking
for two yards, I was surprised to see her cutting off what must have been
only a quarter yard. And she casually rewrapped it and tossed it into the
return bin. If I had been faster, or she smarter, I would have taken that
extra bit of fabric, and I'm shocked she had not been trained to ask before
cutting off that extra bit.
