Ok - I should know this -but I don't. How do you measure the throat on a machine? Is it height, width, and from where to where? Thanks!

From the needle to the base of the arm.

I think it would be from the head of the machine to the other end.

Maride is correct. a machine's throat is the available sewing area to the right of the needle.

measure from the needle along the bed. it also includes the vertical measurment from the bed up.
