we were in the local wm and for once I actually remembered something - that someone had posted about the wm closing out the fat quarters ...
well the fat quarters were still a dollar each but they had bundles of 8 co-ordinated fat quarters on the mark-down for $5 each and jelly rolls (3.5 yards of material) for $9... I figured for $9 I'd get some for my attempt at bargello 8-)

so even tho the fat quarters weren't marked down I think I got a good deal on the other stuff...

Funny, the Wal-Mart I shop at still has fabric and showing no signs of closing it, but they don't carry fat quarters or jelly rolls either.

I have tomorrow off and I need to go to Walmart. I'm checking it out while I'm there.

went back to wallyworld today - and got the REST of the GOOD jelly rolls that were on the markdown...
I say that because the ones I got the other day were batiks and I told DH that I wanted to go back and get some more if they were still there because they were batiks and that was a good deal.... yippee, there were some still there..
and I found another fat quarter bundle of batiks and got that...
there were also some other jelly rolls out of some VERY cheap, thin fabric - needless to say I did not get any of them...
but these batiks are pretty good and I'm going to use these to make (attempt LOL) a bargello..
