My Walmart has precuts and bolts. You can't buy a fabric line. Nothing matches. It's just all different fabric that doesn't go together. So you can't buy enough fabric to make a quilt. I've bought a yard of this and that, but I'm always disappointed in the fabric. I know it's like the third run at the factory so it's not the best, but if it's a good price, go for it.

We have a lot of fabric in our WalMart, in Jesup Ga. but there is never anybody working the department to cut your fabric. So I walk out without any. Wonder how long they'll keep the material with this situation. They'll probably say they don't sell any material so why keep it??/

Our closest WalMart has never done away with the fabric on bolts but for a while was doing more precuts and less bolts. Yesterday it looked as if they were reducing precuts and adding bolts. The next closest Walmart has never had fabric and just a teeny tiny little crafts section...not hardly any notions, just beads and jewelry stuff (nothing against that but not really anything I do).

Ladies I do not get why anyone would buy fabric from walmart or Joanns .I once made place mats and machine appliqued flowers useing Walmart and Joannsfabric as well as quilt store and Hancocks of Paduca.The results were startling.THe quilt store stuff and Hancocks was bright, good color tone ,the tone still showed the design and the others did not at all .They looked terribleTHe web specials bring the price into the same range as what you are paying for lesser quality and of course there are many other companys out there than Hancocks.

You do realize that the QB members are telling you that some WM's have some LQS quality fabric? And that some members have no other fabric store within driving distance?

Well, first of all girls, I gotta tell you this. I have 2 Wal-marts that still have fabric, with no intention of them going. I also have 2 Wal-marts near that have totally disregarded there fabric, save a few jelly rolls and tons of yarn. I was so upset when they said that the fabric just didn't produce enough money to keep it going. REALLY? I wrote a letter to the company and I e-mailed them.....told them I would be a Meijer shopper for eternity because the fabric was what made me go to Wal-mart from the git-go. I just thought it was such B.S. because they had no intention of getting rid of the fishing dept., the hunting dept, the automobile stupid dept. Really? Well, I can buy makeup anywhere. And if that is all they have to offer me? Watch out. I guarantee, if enough of us make a ruckus.......things will even out. And I think they have. And after venting....let me just say.....My Hubby would so much rather me having aisles of fabric to roam while he does his thing in the automobile stupid aisles...I HATE those aisles. UGHHHHH.
