I really like this pattern and want to make it. My mom and I were at Joann's and decided to guestimate how much I needed, since I didn't have the pattern with me. I got 4 yards of each color. When I checked the pattern, I need 4 1/2 of the white and 5 1/4 of the red.

So I'm now trying to decide if I should try to make it smaller with a border of the smaller print that I have. I think it should have some kind of border anyway. Or If I should go back to Joann's and see if they still have the same two fabrics.

I think a "quick" trip back for me is in order. But then, I am a facilitator of stash building.

The only thing is, it isn't a quick trip. It's 30 miles one way.

I bought the fabric a year ago. I don't even know if they will have it. The more I look at it, the more I don't like the smaller red print. So I guess I will take a swatch with me next time I go and see if I can find more. But I think I will buy extra red if they have it. I think it needs a border.

I like the red print so if you really hate it my address is...LOL!

If you can't get more of the same you could make it smaller then put a wider border round in a toning fabric. Just an idea!

No such thing as stupid question! :D

By toning fabric, I mean one that goes with your original fabrics ie the same colours but a different pattern. Maybe a larger red on white print or even a white on red print?
