Last week on Craigslist I found a lady offering 13 boxes of fabric for $40!! I emailed her and we met at a nearby McDonald's. She told me she found another box so now I was getting 14 boxes! She's a quilter, so much of it had been hers + some from an estate of a seamstress of some sort. Anyway, I brought it all home- spread it out in my living room and started sorting. My husband just about fainted when he got home! LOL! I ended up keeping 6 boxes for myself, gave one to a friend and sold the rest on CL Friday for $30!! I can't believe my deal! 7 boxes of cottons for $10!! Woohoo! I'm already putting it to good use in my controlled scrappy "square within a square". Just wanted to share..... I reorganized it all into boxes with labels- solids, prints, shashings/borders, etc. I feel so organized, it's almost scary!

Why would your DH almost faint? You got most of your money back and donated(very giving person) and sold the rest! Was it the amount of fabric? You had a great experience on CL, I keep looking in my area, but never find any deals!

DH nearly fainted because my LR was strewn with 14 boxes half unpacked. When he left for work that a.m. everything was neat as a pin. When he came home it looked like the fabric fairy had a crash at my house.
