    Default To Wash or Not

I have just finished a growth chart wall hanging. It has tons of applique. I can’t remember if I washed those fabrics , but I think I did. I have worked on this for close to 4 years. Because it will just be on the wall, is it necessary to wash? I am a little worried something might shrink (like the cotton batting). I know I should do what I want, but I would appreciate opinions. Thanks so much!

Just a thought, if you do wash it and it shrinks, will that change the measurements on it ?

I don't see any reason to wash it unless it's dirty.

I wouldn't wash (unless it is dirty from handling).

Thank you all so much! I will not wash it as it is not dirty , and yes, if it shrinks, it will change the measurements! You are all such a help to me! I really really appreciate your advice!
