I have one thread that is a #30 Tex and it's pretty thick in comparison
According to Superior's tex measurement reference chart, So Fine #50 is tex 25, so the Wawak thread is just a smidge thinner. I'm guessing the difference will be hard to see.

Superior has some good articles about thread weight and measurement :

Well, the thread came today and I'm completely happy with it! As I guessed, when I put a strand of the Wawak thread next to the So Fine, I honestly can't see or feel a difference, size-wise. There's a tiny bit of fuzz on the Wawak thread, but that's the only visual difference.

When I did a tug test, like the CT poly, it's a bit stronger than the So Fine. The tex 24 only comes in black and white, but the next time I need a different color of thread I just might try a cone of their tex 30, which comes in 20 colors.

So, lotsa thread and a huge savings!
