Default Quilt for granddaughter

My granddaughter is 12. I am 74. She is my only grandchild. I have made her several quilts and she has loved them all. I want to make her a wedding quilt now as I'm sure I won't be here when she gets married. Her mother will put it up and give it to her then. I want to make her an embroidery quilt with different patches of flowers, etc. Anybody know where I can find suitable patterns to download? Also, I seem to have problems with my machine (Babylock Ellure Plus) reading patterns that I have downloaded from the internet and transferred to the memory stick. I bought the memory stick that was compatible with my machine but I still have difficulty. Any other Ellure owners out there who have had the same problem? How did you fix it?

Smith St has some beautiful machine embroidered blocks. Sorry, The only thing I can figure for your download issue is a file type mismatch. Babylock uses a PES file.

karenpatrick, I wonder if your emb design problems are same as mine, and how I solved my problem. Do not know the age of your machine, but I have an older Babylock Ellageo, as well as Brother 2001 & 2003. I found that some downloads of patterns would not show in my machines (from memory card or floppy disk). The reason was that the software used to digitize the designs was very much newer than what was intended for the older machines. I understand the machines can read all the way back to the first version, but cannot read later format versions than when the machine was made. Anyway, I solved my problem (mostly) by converting to an earlier format version. I have the earlier Pulse Ambassador software, as well as Wings My Editor conversion software. Both were free. The later Pulse Ambassador is now worked with on line, I believe, and doesn't convert as many formats. I hope this gives you something to investigate.

I made a quilt for both my granddaughters when they were first born that is my cedar chest with instructions to my daughter to give them to the granddaughters when they get married. They are 16 and 8 now. The one I made for the 16 year old has embroidered flower squares. I would post a pix but since the change in the Quilting Board format, I am unable to post pixs. I bought a book of floral patterns so maybe you could find one also.

I have the same issue with my Babylock Ellageo. It uses floppy disks and I have wondered if the newer designs don't work because I have an older machine. The only designs I haven't been able to use so far are the ones by Kimberbell. Most of the designs I have purchased online have all been working fine. There are also lots of sites that have free designs.
