My son's favorite color is maroon and his wife's is blue. For their wedding quilt I used mainly maroon and a deep blue plus some other colors in a Love Knot pattern and called it "Compromise." Good title and good advice for newlyweds!

My daughter-in-law loves pink also (she even had pink wedding shoes) but I made them a quilt to match the colors in their house which were black, red and cream.

Maybe something like this would work! It has pink in it, but it doesn't look too girly.
I agree, it doesn't look too girlie. Actually, pink is my least favorite color, but I liked the one shown in the above link. Good luck with whatever you decide to do - I'm sure they'll both love it. :-)

Jim's Gem's advice sounds the best. In their registry they are surely going to have listed what their bedroom colors will be. That way you will know what colors the couple has already worked out for their home.

Your quilt will be a lovely wedding gift for them.

PS: you could always make a personalized lap quilt for her in her favorite pinks for her birthday, just because or for a wedding shower present!
:-D

Pink and brown look great together. I made a ton of log cabin blocks in these colors and still need to put it together for my sister in law. Good luck!

I just finished a "Think Outside the Block" in black and white. You might consider the same and use a bright pink in the center?

I made one with pastels and pinks all set in brown as a wedding quilt. In my case the guys said,"I am guy enough to sleep under a pink quilt." I asked her if I could add the brown because I was scared in the long run she would not like a girly quilt. the end resul was a shabby chic loook with some buttons and tieing in addition to the stipling all over.

My son is getting married this February, his fiancee loves pink too, he let it be known,"No way am I sleeping under a pink quilt." Their quilt will be a civil war reproduction quilt with Civil War Tribute fabric. I tried to put a lot of blues in as she likes those too.

What is her second color choice?

I know several young ladies that really like the pastels and the softer pink. You might want to be pretty sure about the colors and that both are agreeable to it.

I like your idea.....just remember to use a little pink for her, but not enough to offend him.

Have you seen some of the pink and brown fabrics? Not terribly girly!
