I love this! I particularly like that outer border...is it half square triangles? Colors are wonderful too.

I've been studying your quilt, it's so pretty. Lots going on in it. Love the French Braid, border and cornerstones. Looks like lots of batiks, which I love. Great job.

so, i figured it must be time to make a jungle quilt- i've had 3 or 4 different 'wild life-jungle critters' panals on the closet shelf for years- finally decided to grab one- grab a bunch of scraps & see what i could come up with-
of course it still needs to be quilted & bound- but the top is done & turned out pretty good-
clicking on the picture makes it larger- show up the border- seems to be cut off in the posted pic---

Small detail------but the sun ray corners make the jungle special.

yes, the outter border is 1/2 square triangles- had just enough of those 2 fabrics to accomplish going around the quilt---most of the time i really hate making bunches of 1/2 square triangles but wanted to go around it one more time & did n't have enough fabric to really do anything different that i could think of at the time- so....
at least i am making a dent in the scrap piles! now- to find something to use for a back...
and the sunburst blocks in the corners- almost didn't use those---but glad i decided to include them now after the fact- used up a couple other scraps with those- & made 5- not 4---the 2nd one was too small somehow---luckily had just enough to make an extra without having to come up with something else--it was a close call...scrappy quilts are such a great challenge- having to find ways to make what you have work...
