while waiting for my books to arrive I thought Id browse around ebay at material .... opppps Ive done a bit more than browse

Soooo by the weekend Ive got lots and lots of lovely material arriving!! One pack is a gorgeous pink which Id like to use to make a basic patchwork quilt for my daughter ( it comes pre cut into squares)

ok please bear with me and forgive my ignorance in my silly questions, right here goes .....

I have bought 60 4'' squares .... my plan is to hand stitch them together forming a quilt (ohh how easy this sounds .... but I know it wont be lol ), does this sound feasible? what sort of stitching do I use to piece them together?

I also bought 100 3'' different creams squares, Ive no idea what Im going to do with these but I just fell in love with the colours and patterns .... I think it may be dangerous for me to go on ebay again

Last question (for now) ... needles and thread, is there a certain type I need?

Once again sorry for my ignorance but excitment and enthusiasm got the better of me!!
